Sharpen up your craft with the pros

You're out there making it but you want to take it the next level. Look no further - our coaches work with today's artists, day in, day out. They know what it takes to get a cut.

These days, it's not enough to have the talent. You need the inside story on what's selling in the industry and what today's artists are looking for. With a deck of top ten hits and years of experience between them, Emily and Crispin will help you sharpen up your act and get your craft into shape.

The schedule

Work starts at 9.30 with a briefing on a key element of song-writing: hooks, melody, pre-chorus, new markets for your material...sign up for the course and we'll make sure the topics you want to learn are the ones we cover.

By 10.30, you'll be teamed up in threes and starting to write.

Our coaches visit each team in turn, reviewing where you've got to, suggesting ideas, feeding you the tips and tricks they've learned working with today's top artists. We also listen to everyone's work before they come on the course and we make sure they're up to scratch. So you won't just learn from us, you'll learn from each other too.

Lunch is between 1-2.00 and dinner from 7.30 pm. You've got to stop to eat and it's often when you take a pause that inspiration strikes.

Apart from that, you and your team can spend your time where and how you like just as long as you have a song to perform by 6.00pm.

And when it's all over, we'll try and support you - whether it's recording tracks you've written on the course, mentoring on Skype or creating workshops on other aspects of the songwriter's life...we want to make it happen.

When's the next course?

Our next four-day course will be happening this autumn. Details to be confirmed shortly.
